How to Set up Bluetooth Headsets With IPhones
The iPhone 4 comes with Bluetooth capabilities, giving you the ability to wirelessly connect with other Bluetooth devices, including keyboards or stereo headphones. The device also has the capability to connect to third-party headsets, allowing you to speak on your phone without holding the iPhone up to your ear. The two devices do not, however, automatically connect. Use the iPhone's Bluetooth setup wizard to pair your headset with the phone.
Place your Bluetooth headset into discovery mode. This step varies depending on your headset, so view the device's instruction booklet if you do not know how to enable discovery mode.
Tap "Settings" on your iPhone's Home screen. The application opens.
Tap "General."
Tap "Bluetooth."
Flip the Bluetooth "On/Off" switch to the "On" position. The iPhone searches for discoverable Bluetooth devices.
Tap your headset's listing when results appear. A prompt appears asking for the headset's pairing passkey.
Input the passkey and touch "Connect." This step differs depending on your headset, so refer to the device's manual to determine your headset's passkey. Once it's entered, the iPhone syncs with the headset.
